God's
Will
And he was
parted from them about a stone's cast; and he kneeled down and prayed, saying,
Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will,
but thine, be done.
- Luke 22:41-42
I can of myself do
nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is righteous; because I seek not
mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. - John 5:30
For I am come down
from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me. - John 6:38
And when they asked
him to abide a longer time, he consented not; but taking his leave of them, and
saying, I will return again unto you if God will, he set sail from
Ephesus.
- Acts 18:20-21
I beseech you
therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living
sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service. And be not
fashioned according to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your
mind, and ye may prove what is the good and acceptable and perfect will of God.
- Romans 12:1-2
