Tribulation
Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or
persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended. (Matthew
13:21)
These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the
world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the
world. (John 16:33)
And when they had preached the gospel to that city, and had taught many, they
returned again to Lystra, and to Iconium, and Antioch, Confirming the souls of
the disciples, and exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must
through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God. (Acts 14:21-22)
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation
worketh patience; (Romans 5:3)
Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress,
or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? (Romans 8:35)
Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies,
and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we
may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith
we ourselves are comforted of God. (2 Corinthians 1:3-4)
For verily, when we were with you, we told you before that we should suffer
tribulation; even as it came to pass, and ye know. (1 Thessalonians 3:4) |
