Thoughts
Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? (Matthew
6:27)
But Peter said unto him, Thy money perish with thee, because thou hast thought
that the gift of God may be purchased with money. Thou hast neither part nor lot
in this matter: for thy heart is not right in the sight of God. Repent therefore
of this thy wickedness, and pray God, if perhaps the thought of thine heart may
be forgiven thee. (Acts 8:20-22)
And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain. (1
Corinthians 3:20)
When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a
child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things. (1 Corinthians
13:11)
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: (For the weapons
of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of
strong holds;) Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth
itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought
to the obedience of Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:3-5)
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword,
piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and
marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. (Hebrews
4:12)
Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts?
