Fellowship With Others
But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the
Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority
upon them. But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among
you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be
your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to
minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. (Matthew 20:25-28)
But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are
brethren. (Matthew 23:8)
But I have prayed for thee, that thy faith fail not: and when thou art
converted, strengthen thy brethren. (Luke 22:32)
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved
you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my
disciples, if ye have love one to another. (John 13:34-35)
And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to
thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me,
that they may be one, as we are. (John 17:11)
And all that believed were together, and had all things common; And sold their
possessions and goods, and parted them to all men, as every man had need. And
they, continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from
house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,
Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the
church daily such as should be saved. (Acts 2:44-47)
We then that are strong ought to bear the infirmities of the weak, and not to
please ourselves. Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to
edification. For even Christ pleased not himself; but, as it is written, The
reproaches of them that reproached thee fell on me. For whatsoever things were
written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and
comfort of the scriptures might have hope. Now the God of patience and
consolation grant you to be likeminded one toward another according to Christ
Jesus: That ye may with one mind and one mouth glorify God, even the Father of
our Lord Jesus Christ. Wherefore receive ye one another, as Christ also received
us to the glory of God. (Romans 15:1-7)
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove
them. (Ephesians 5:11)
That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have
fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his
Son Jesus Christ. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in
darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in
the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ
his Son cleanseth us from all sin. (1 John 1:3, 6-7) |
