Faith
Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to
morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little
faith? (Matthew 6:30)
Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto
thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
(Matthew 15:28)
Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he
falleth into the fire, and oft into the water. And I brought him to thy
disciples, and they could not cure him. Then Jesus answered and said, O
faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall
I suffer you? bring him hither to me. And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he
departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. Then came the
disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? And Jesus
said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have
faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence
to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.
(Matthew 17:15-20)
And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they
sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him. And when they could not
find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went
upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the
midst before Jesus. And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins
are forgiven thee. (Luke 5:18-20)
And the Lord said, If ye had faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto
this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the
sea; and it should obey you. (Luke 17:6)
And Stephen, full of faith and power, did great wonders and miracles among the
people. (Acts 6:8)
For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is
written, The just shall live by faith. (Romans 1:17)
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
(Hebrews 11:1)
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally,
and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing
wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind
and tossed. (James 1:5-6)
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of
God, and the faith of Jesus. (Revelation 14:12) |
