Edification

And now I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you the inheritance among all them that are sanctified. - Acts 20:32

Knowledge puffeth up, but love edifieth. - 1 Corinthians 8:1b

All things are lawful; but not all things are expedient. All things are lawful; but not all things edify. - 1 Corinthians 10:23

He that speaketh in a tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. - 1 Corinthians 14:4

And he gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, unto the work of ministering, unto the building up of the body of Christ. - Ephesians 4:11-12
