Promises Of
God
Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to
all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise,
which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant. (1 Kings 8:56)
When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the
rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou
shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee. (Isaiah 43:2)
And hath raised up an horn of salvation for us in the house of his servant
David; As he spake by the mouth of his holy prophets, which have been since the
world began: That we should be saved from our enemies, and from the hand of all
that hate us; To perform the mercy promised to our fathers, and to remember his
holy covenant; The oath which he sware to our father Abraham, That he would
grant unto us, that we being delivered out of the hand of our enemies might
serve him without fear, In holiness and righteousness before him, all the days
of our life. (Luke 1:69-75)
Now I say that Jesus Christ was a minister of the circumcision for the truth of
God, to confirm the promises made unto the fathers: (Romans 15:8)
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and
touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you, And will be a Father unto
you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty. (2
Corinthians 6:17-18)
But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of
Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe. (Galatians 3:22)
And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the
promise. (Galatians 3:29)
For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all
things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. (1
Timothy 4:8)
For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he
sware by himself, Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I
will multiply thee. And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the
promise. (Hebrews 6:13-15)
For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their
iniquities will I remember no more. (Hebrews 8:12)
According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto
life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory
and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises:
that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the
corruption that is in the world through lust. (2 Peter 1:3-4)
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth,
wherein dwelleth righteousness. (2 Peter 3:13)
And this is the promise that he hath promised us, even eternal life. (1 John
2:25)
