Good
Works
A
Christian should always remember that the value of his good works is not based
on their number and excellence, but on the love of God which prompts him to do
these things. - John of the Cross
What
you do in your house is worth as much as if you did it up in heaven for our Lord
God. We should accustom ourselves to think of our position and work as sacred
and well-pleasing to God, not on account of the position and work, but on
account of the word and faith from which the obedience and the work flow. -
Martin Luther
Sound
protestant and evangelical doctrine is useless if it is not accompanied by a
holy life. It is worse than useless: it does positive harm. It is despised by
keen sighted and shrewd men of the world, as an unreal and hollow thing, and
brings religion into contempt. - J.C. Ryle |
